2.Indian Grandmaster Abhijeet Gupta wins Cannes International Open Trophy. It is his first solo international tournament victory.

3.GR Karthikeyan, father of India’s first formula one driver Narain Karthikeyan, was honored with the Lifetime Achievement award at the FMSCI annual awards function.

4.FAGMIL (FCI Aravali Gypsum and Minerals India Limited) has taken a project to estblish a white cement plant near village Nohra Dhar in Himachal Pradesh, at a project cost of approximately Rs 605 crores.

5.Indra Nooyi former CEO of Pepsico has joined Amazon’s board of directors, the online retail giant.

6.Sri Lanka becomes the first ever Asian team to win test series in South Africa. Sri Lanka win the series by 2-0.

7.Madhya Pradesh CM Kamal Nath launched the state Government’s flagship scheme ‘Mukhyamantri Yuva Swabhiman Yojana’ that guarantees 100 days of employment every year to urban youth from economically weaker sections.

8.President Ram Nath Kovind conferred the Gandhi Peace Prize for 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi.

For 2015 – Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari for its contribution in Rural Development Education and Natural resources.

For 2016 –  Jointly to Akshaya Patra Foundation providing day meals to million children across India and Sulabh International for improving the condition of sanitation in India.

For 2017 – Ekal Abhiyan Trust providing education for rural and tribal children in remote areas pan India.

For 2018 – Japan’s Yohei Sasakawa for its contribution in Leprosy Eradication in India and across the world.

  1. India and Bangladesh joint Military exercise Sampriti-2019 will be conducted at Tangail, Bangladesh from 02 March to 15 March 2019.
